Babylon Buttons is Canada's oldest union button shop, founded in 1983 by Melva Forsberg. We’re committed to quality and equality.

After borrowing from a handful of friends so that she could buy her own button machine, Melva started selling her buttons at bars, in local progressive Vancouver bookshops, and at various cultural and political events. These early buttons were made using letraset (dry transfer lettering) and gift wrap.

In addition to making buttons for various clients, Babylon Buttons

also creates their own extensive collection of progressive little

attention-grabbers.

The button shop is located in the heart of the East Vancouver

arts community and is unionized with Unifor 780G
